Cathedral Organ Recital with Paula Lee Seo - live from Los Angeles, CA

Paula Lee Seo joins us as the third guest organist for our Wednesday Organ Recitals 2026. For the 2:00PM March 4th recital, Dr. Seo's program will consist of: 1. Toccata Adagio and Fugue BWV 564 - J.S. Bach (1685-1750) 2. Air - Gerre Hancock (1934-2012) 3. The Prayer (5:11) - David Foster/ Arr. Marianne Kim (b. 1972) 4. Festival Toccata (6:43 min) - Percy E. Fletcher (1879-1932) Dr. Paula Lee Seo currently resides in Pennsylvania, where she is adjunct faculty member at Neumann University, where she teachers piano and organ. She also serves as substitute organist area churches. In Fall 2025, she started serving as a Member-at-Large on the Executive Board of the American Guild of Organists, Philadelphia Chapter. Dr. Seo began studying piano at an early age while growing up in Seoul, Korea. She returned to the U.S. to pursue organ performance at Wheaton College in Illinois under Dr. Edward Zimmerman, earning her Bachelor of Music degree. She continued her studies at The Juilliard School in New York City with Drs. Gerre Hancock and John Weaver, receiving a Master of Music in Organ Performance. Paula later earned her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor under Dr. Robert Glasgow. From 2000 to 2007, she served as Music Director and Organist at First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti, MI. After relocating with her family to Fremont, CA, she became Choir Director at Living Word Korean Church in Milpitas for two years. Paula has performed solo and collaborative recitals at venues including the International Organ Symposium at Seoul Presbyterian Church (Korea), the College Church Concert Series (IL), the First Presbyterian Church Pipe Organ Festival (MI), the Covenant Chamber Concerts (CA), and most recently, the Lester W. Groom Endowment Organ Recital at Wheaton College Conservatory.
