SOUNDBITE (Arabic): Ali Hassan Majid, Saddam Hussein special envoy: "How would you evaluate this after the whole Iraq and the Iraqi people voted for his president, the big leader Saddam Hussein. How would you ever think and you are speaking the Arabic language, that the Iraqis would leave their symbol? I tell you and the little Bush (the current US President George Bush ), whose father is a bigger dog than him and was not able to remove Saddam Hussein, the younger will be crushed and defeated and the whole world will laugh at him." 11. Wide shot meeting STORYLINE: A senior Iraqi envoy, on a visit to Lebanon, has dismissed suggestions that Saddam Hussein might accept an offer of safe conduct into exile to avert war. Ali Hassan al-Majid, Saddam's cousin and the special envoy to Arab leaders, appeared angered by the speculation that the Iraqi president might step down. He said the US president, who he described as "the little Bush", would be crushed and defeated if he tried to remove Saddam from power and he would end up with the 'whole world laughing at him." Al-Majid, who is a member of Iraq's ruling Revolutionary Command Council was in Lebanon on Tuesday trying to rally Arab support for Iraq. Al Majid is known as 'chemical Ali' for his involvement in atrocities against the Kurds. He was also a leading participant in the 1996 family massacre after President Saddam's son-in-law, Hussein Kamil, defected to Jordan, betrayed Iraq's weapons secrets, and then returned to Baghdad.
