He received his neurology residency and fellowship training at NYU, and he continues to see and treat all patients with both hyper and hypokinetic movement disorders in his daily clinic, including cerebellar ataxia. Dr. Drummond’s clinical focus, however, is on expanding the use of botulinum toxin injections for the treatment of hyperkinetic movement disorders such as dystonia, peripheral myoclonus, and tremor. He has a particular academic interest in the use of advanced technologies such as ultrasound, electromyography, and electrical stimulation in guiding botulinum toxin injections. Dr. Drummond mentors and teaches medical students, residents, and fellows on the use of botulinum toxin injections and lectures internationally advocating for the utility of guidance techniques on improving the accuracy, precision, and safety of treatments.
