Our guest Christina joined us for a September Five Day Wildlife Tracking and Conservation Horse Pack Trip in the Eldorado Mountains. Watch the video review of her trip with Wilderness Trails. On this five day wildlife tracking and conservation horse pack trip, Christina journeyed to Eldorado where she learned about the variety of fauna and flora in the South Chilcotin Mountains. She connected to nature by viewing mountain goats up close. She practiced self-sufficiency by harvesting wild edibles such as mountain sorrel and white bark pine cones. She contributed to conservation by learning about the endangered white bark pine tree and completing a white bark pine assessment. For personal development, she learned new skills such as back country living. Being on the lookout for mountain goats increased her awareness of the Chilcotin Ark and learning new wilderness skills brought her a sense of empowerment.
