So MollySato was super sweet and came up with a translation for those of you curious to know what they're saying here but sadly lacking in the swedish department like myself. Keep in mind Molly is no professional. She just happens to be a really cool swedish girl nice enough to help us out! =D Enjoy! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Johanna: "We need hardly speak, communicate, really.... When we sit and sing along .. we have done it since we were little children .. It is.. it's so easy for us. " Reporter: There is something unchanging in First Aid Kit's music. The natural romantic touch makes of course the thoughts father off to the campfires and creatures of the forest - or for that matter, traditional American folk music - all woven together in a rather timeless musical experience. Purely theoretically this comes of course from the fact that they're so dazzlingly good with their voices and don't give a damn about trying to please others -- the well-known given recipe for success. But there is also one more thing: The contrived bittersweet essence of the songs. Johanna: "Um .. yes. it comes from various country music that we listen to a lot, this bittersweet element ... that has all this beautiful and the horrific, the grotesque, the morbid... mixed into something almost sacred... em.. and it works so well with our vocal harmonies and it becomes beautiful (here they smile shyly) and we write very sad songs, most of the time .. " Reporter: Well, why do you do that? Klara: "I think the music works a bit like therapy for us, to write about things that are hard or to write about things we are thinking about or are afraid of, things you want to leave behind you.. and then we can sort of process it .. so therefore, I think we do it ... " Reporter: For it has taken off and it took off pretty quickly and it went pretty rapidly internationally too.. If you look back on it, how do you think that you yourself have evolved musically and as individuals? What do you see there, or with each other or something? Johanna: "We have well been more self-confidence and self-assurance on stage .. and also in how we want to sound, sort of ... in our expressions. We have always been good and now we understand more what we want and what we want to do .. Right? (Klara nod's smiling)" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Source: http://svtplay.se
