As a therapist (and someone who’s been there), I want to unpack why food can take up so much mental space. In this video, I explore some of the deeper reasons behind food obsession — including restriction, shame, and the belief that we should be able to control food — and how these thoughts can often reflect bigger themes in our lives. We’ll also look at how to change your relationship with food without trying to shut those thoughts down entirely. I share three steps to help you start thinking differently — not less — about food, along with some helpful resources and questions to ask yourself. If you're tired of feeling like food is always on your mind, I hope this gives you clarity, compassion, and a little hope.
