Flipping technique of an Anterior Chamber Intraocular Lens (AC IOL) in the AC ( anterior chamber)

I am honored to be featured in this year’s teaching videos on @CataractCoach.com, where one of my challenging cases was narrated by the esteemed Prof. Uday Devgan, MD (USA, BH). 🔷The AC-IOL is positioned by another doctor in a previously vitrectomised eye, flipped, placed upside down and having the haptics trapped in the trabeculectomy. After this minimally invasive manoeuvre the initial corneal oedema resolved within 2 weeks post op and the best corrected vision increased from 2/10 to 8/10 with very good intraocular pressure. It’s truly inspiring to witness the continuous advancements in cataract and eye surgery technology, which consistently deliver life-changing results for patients. Being part of this evolving field and contributing to educational resources like these is both a privilege and deeply rewarding.
