The CIA Triangle, also known as the CIA Triad, is an important concept to understand. I was sitting in my "Introduction to Cybersecurity" class this past week when this concept came up. At that moment, I realized I have never properly addressed the CIA Triad... What is the CIA Triangle, read below 👇 The CIA Triangle stands for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Each of these terms define an important, critical element in cybersecurity. Definitions pertaining of Cybersecurity: Confidentiality: Ability for a system to ensure that an asset is viewed only by an authorized party. Integrity: Ability of a system to ensure that an asset is modified only by authorized parties. Availability: Ability of a system to ensure that an asset can be used by any authorized parties.
