In this video, I will be installing GM Electric Smog Pump, or a Secondary Air Injection Pump, running backwards to use as a Crankcase Evacuation Pump for my Turbo Buick Wagon (Grand National Engine). This is a high mileage stock block (mostly) LC2 from an 87 Buick Grand National. There is some good blowby at boost, especially 20+ lbs. I'm doing this mod to help with that, hopefully, and along with the pump, catch can, and the PCV catch can, this should keep the odors and oil mist at bay. I bought the pump new on eBay, though they can also be found used in a junk yard or elsewhere. I bought a harness from Racetronix, and modified it to shorten some leads and remove unneeded connectors. There are three different harnesses available from Racetronix depending on the pump you use, so do your homework. Check out the link here for details: https://www.racetronix.biz/k/crankcas... I also picked up 2 billet aluminum -10AN valve cover adapters from Metco Motorsports, these can be bought from FullThrottle here: http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/turb... and here: http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/10-a... The AN lines are run through a Mishimoto knock off 3 port catch can before running to the pump, and the -10AN black braided hose is from eBay.
