Jaguar XJ6 XJ40 3.6 twin-turbo Coupe & the limousine | Robert Jankel Design Ltd

In the late 1980s, Robert Jankel Design Ltd proposed two versions of the Jaguar XJ6 (XJ40 type) - the twin-turbo XJ40 Coupe two-door, and a long wheelbase XJ40 Limousine. Both proposals star in the two brochures/glossy flyers featured in this 1980s Jaguar-related video. It's a shame in particular that the XJ40 twin-turbo Coupe (3.6 litre) didn't get made in any real numbers, in fact I think just one sole example was ever constructed, on behalf of R Jankel Design by coachbuilder RS Panels. Both of the flyers shown here were acquired by myself after writing to the company in 1988/89. Jaguar dabbled with the idea of producing their own XJ40 two-door Coupe (a photo of the sole factory prototype is included in this vid), and others have created their own lwb Limousine versions over the years.
