He was associated with the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, since 1967. He was the founding president of the Sri Aurobindo Society, Bermo, and the state secretary of the United Bihar province, and remained actively involved with the Sri Aurobindo Jyoti Mandir, Hazaribagh, until the end of his life (2022). He composed numerous prayers on Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, some of which were sung by Jagjit Singh in the album “Maa”.
