For an island so tiny, we never seem to run out of things to do. And maybe that's a product of us always exploring everything above and below the sea! Today was no different. We were fortunate enough to go out on a friend's boat who had grown up on the island. And wow was it a trip! They brought us to some pretty outstanding sites. A few of our favorites were: Mermaid's Chair: On the western end of St. Thomas, this secluded beach is an excellent snorkel and freediving spot. It's accessible by land after a mid-level hike. Western Cays of St. Thomas: Little St. Thomas, Salt Cay, and West Cay - just to name a few - are small islets on the west end of St. Thomas. If you have access to a boat, we highly recommend trying to snorkel, scuba, or free dive at these locations! Outer Brass Island: A local's secret spot. Rough Point is a jaw-dropping reef dive (ideal for scuba divers). A massive cave we drove the boat directly into (see the end of the video). And even a cliff jumping spot! This entire place is only accessible via boat. Mandahl Salt Pond: Mangrove ecosystem where we launched from. We saw countless juvenile eagle rays! Cliff Jumping: As far as we are aware, this is one of few sites where it's safe and possible. It's called the cheese block. If you hear of any others, I can't stress enough to only attempt if you go with someone who knows exactly what they're doing.
