Want to show concern for your friends in Burmese? In this video you'll learn to ask and answer the question 'Are you feeling better now?' as well as have a mini-drill and review. 📝 ADDITIONAL NOTES 🔹 An even shorter, alternate way to ask this question would be သက်သာပြီလား 🔹 Another common way to ask this question is (နေ)ကောင်းသွားပြီလား 🔹 You could mention the specific ailment that you're enquiring about e.g. ခေါင်းကိုက်တာ ကောင်းသွားပြီလား - 'Is your headache better/gone?' 🔹 To respond in the negative (that you're not better at all) seems to be fairly uncommon. But you could say မသက်သာသေးဘူး 🔹 In the final example, if you wanted to specifically refer to your friend's mother, you could specify using your chosen pronoun for 'you' e.g. ညီမရဲ့ အမေ သက်သာလာပြီလား Thank you Thin Thin Wai for your lovely voice contribution 😊 💡 LEARNING TIP: Make sure you use the pauses in the video to give yourself an opportunity to practice saying the Myanmar aloud - this is a really important part of consolidating your learning. And if you find that the pauses are too short, pause the video to give yourself time to work it out and speak at a pace that's comfortable and relaxed for you. 🌟 5-Minute Myanmar: • 5-Minute Myanmar 🌟 Myanmar Grammar Lessons: • Myanmar Grammar Lessons 🌟 Myanmar Vocabulary Sets: • Learn Myanmar Vocabulary 🌟 Myanmar Question of the Day: • Myanmar Question of the Day A NOTE ON ROMANISATION: We’ve made the decision not to include the romanised version of the Myanmar words included in our videos. While it can seem to be helpful at the beginning, it can end up being a bit of a ‘crutch’. From our experience, we can definitely recommend taking the time to learn to read the Myanmar script as a priority, as this will ensure a more accurate and consistent result. Love Myanmar videos are presented on the basis that the viewer can now read the Myanmar script. Thanks for joining us for this Myanmar lesson. See you next time!
