One of my favorite hidden gems in Los Angeles is the Fern Dell Nature Trail located in Griffith Park. It's a short trail about a quarter mile long and is an oasis of greenery and foliage--not the most common site in Los Angeles. The trail runs parallel to a small creek with many small bridges along the way. Luckily this day, I was able to spot a group of turtles in one of the small ponds on the pathway. I'd recommend checking out this spot for a small foresty getaway in the middle of the city. Fun fact: the movie Under the Silver Lake starring Andrew Garfield shot some scenes in this trail!
