New Yorkers are proud of their homes, their businesses, their neighborhoods. But it's hard to live in this city. Government used to care. It worked for us. But our leaders stopped solving problems and started putting their egos, personal gain, and whatever this guy is doing, over our needs. Rising rents. Shuttered hospitals. Families pushed out of their homes. It's time for change. We deserve a new generation of leadership. I grew up in a family committed to service. My dad, an immigrant from India, and my mom, the granddaughter of Jewish refugees, dedicated their lives to caring for others. And I've spent my career fighting for those values—dignity; compassion; and community. I helped raise millions in rental assistance to keep families housed during the pandemic. I fought to ensure tenants have a voice in their homes. And I worked alongside my neighbors to build a community center from the ground up in a neighborhood left behind. But this fight isn't just about fixing what's broken. It's about building something better. That's why I'm running for City Council. We can create a New York where healthcare is guaranteed, where families aren't drowning in childcare costs, and where everyone has an affordable home. A city that cares for everyone.
