I blew the head gasket recently on the freeway and had to replace it. But the engine is running so much better now that I suspect the old head gasket could have been partially blown already when I got the engine from the junkyard a couple of years ago. In case you wonder; the alternator is making a little noise, as well as the gearbox. The exhaust valve on cylinder #4 is tapping slightly. And the smoke coming out of the exhaust is mostly just condensation, it's a cold moist day. This is also why I have a hot air snorkel on the pod filter; it's slowly getting colder outside this time of year.
