My playlist of NieR choir covers:    • NieR Covers   I ran a poll recently to ask which of Kainé vs Cold Steel Coffin folks wanted to see a cover of, and I guess I just went ahead and did both since Cold Steel Coffin was such an interesting piece! And not very many covers exist of it at all. Arrangement-wise this was a total chorus of 30 envas, plus an extra enva on piano. I kept the chords really wide and empty to capture a sense of foreboding and unease. In all honesty probably using the keyboard I used for Fleeting Words would have suited this piece better, since the Estonia grand actually has verrrrrry little bass, and what bass it does have is extremely pure-toned. Absolutely love it for classical pieces, but I think Cold Steel Coffin needed a bit more oomph.
