WORST PLACE TO BREAKDOWN? | Freezing Temperatures Overlanding & Camping

Winter overlanding trip in the Iezer Mountains, Romania with a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 and a Jeep Wrangler JK. The conditions were typical for this time of year: deep snow, low temperatures, and slow off-road driving. We didn't offroad for more than 10km because of the fresh snow, and we didn't have chains or studded tires. We made a fire and camped overnight in freezing conditions. The next morning, the Jeep Wrangler JK suddenly broke down upon startup. A hose popped out and it lost all of its transmission fluid and could no longer continue under its own power, so we had to tow it back down to reach paved roads. This resulted in a sad ending for this trip, and will probably be the last winter camping, off-roading in deep snow until the weather warms up.
