In this lecture we will learn that human civilization and beliefs regarding the cosmological origins of life perhaps owe their existence to this lost branch of humanity who thrived from around 450,000 years ago down to the Upper Paleolithic age. Andrew has become one of the world’s top experts on the Denisovans and will reveal just what impact they have had on humanity’s own rise to civilization from the Denisova Cave in Siberia to Gobekli Tepe in Turkey and the Great Pyramid in Egypt. He also reveals brand new evidence on the origins of the Denisovans - who they were, and why they advanced so much faster than their other rivals. He also introduces the extraordinary findings that have come out of the Qesem Cave in modern-day Israel, showing how the recent discovery of a swan wing bone is helping to explain the origins of not only swan ancestry, but also of shamanism itself. This is also the main theme of new book Denisovan Origins, co-authored with Greg Little. Andrew Collins is a science and history writer, and the author of books that challenge the way we perceive the past.
