This conversation focuses on effective strategies for federal policy and advocacy. Discussants provide insights into current federal government education policy deliberations, (i.e., elections, COVID-19 pandemic and virtual learning, and additional emergency relief), the role of the federal government in education, advice on what successful advocacy looks like for practitioners engaging with members of Congress, and tips for creative ways to engage with federal policymakers that go beyond making a trip to Washington, DC and that also comply with current social distancing rules. This recording is well suited for educators and on the ground practitioners who are inspired to get involved in policy advocacy and are new to this space.
