I explain to students how to create their own wheel plaster bat system to throw repetitive work on the pottery wheel. Plaster bats can be very costly and in some countries it is non-existent. Some pottery wheels does not have holes in it, in which case a different plan needs to be made to make repetitive work with a wide base, like plates and platters.
