Want to get a vintage look out of your ice dyes? Get a 50/50 Cotton Polyester blend! Or in my case, not realize that till AFTER you finish, hence the "Accidental Vintage". While 100% cotton gives you high-saturation colors, using a poly-blend allows the "Riverbed" geode style to take on a unique, heathered texture that looks aged right off the rack. Almost like an old rock... I'll walk you through my Geode process from beginning to end with an emphasis on: The Tie: Using sinew to create organic CRISP sinew lines, easily. The Dye: How I applied the dye and processed in the MUCK to get the best color saturation. Why Use a 50/50 Blend? If you prefer a "broken-in" feel or a more muted color palette for your geodes, 50/50 blends are a fantastic tool. This method is beginner-friendly and perfect for those who want to experiment with different fabric textures.
