I was going to backpack in Mexico for 4 weeks only and visit San Cristobal de las Casas for 3 days. Well, it's been 13 weeks since I have been traveling in Mexico and this country has been treating me better than I deserve! I want to say that Mexico is absolutely safe for solo female travelers. I have never had an unpleasant experience here. Just don't overthink it and travel in Mexico!
