Huntly & District Pipe Band, led by Drum Major Derek Dean and Pipe Major Ian Stuart, playing a set of slow airs and a march. This was part of their afternoon display during the 2021 Grampian Games, held in Braemar, Scotland. The set of tunes are 'Loch Rannoch', 'The Heroes of Kohima' and 'The Piper of Longueval', then finishing with the march 'Cockney Jocks'. With almost all Highland Games in Scotland cancelled in 2021, the Grampian Games Association, Royal Scottish Highland Games Association and Braemar Royal Highland Society, all came together for one special celebration of Highland Games, held at the home of the Braemar Gathering on 14th August 2021. Huntly and District Pipe Band are a recreational band, formed in 1948 by Gordon Highlanders returning home from service in WWII, and the Gordon tartan is synonymous with the Huntly and District Pipe Band, having been devised by Forsythes of Huntly.
