Air New Zealand NZ531 : Flying from Auckland to Christchurch

9th July 2019 A familiar destination awaits us. I've visited Christchurch plenty but this time, I'm flying Air New Zealand on their 4 years old Airbus A320-200, ZK-OXG. We arrived promptly at the domestic terminal of Auckland Airport, checked in and relaxed till our flight was ready for boarding. The plane wasn't parked at any of the jet bridges which was quite rare for one of these flights. Boarding commenced at Gate 24 and I settled in Seat 24A (coincidence?) before the plane pushed back from the gate. Shortly after, we took off towards Christchurch. Some refreshments were served during our short flight. As the plane flew, we got a glimpse of mountains and the snowy alps; not long after, we eventually landed before parking at Gate 18. Bags could be collected at Carousel 5. We collected our rental car and got ready to explore what Christchurch and its surroundings had to offer.
