This video will show you How To Export A Map Layer From Avenza Maps. To export a layer directly from a map, you must first load the Map with the Layer you want to Export. Next, select the layer you want to work with; it will open on your screen. Tap the Layers icon in the bottom toolbar to access the map layers you wish to export. From here, tap on the export icon at the top of the Map Layers tab and select “Export to others.” If you are transferring the layers to another iOS device, you can also select the AirDrop option. Now, you can type the filename of your preference. The next step is to select the Format that suits your needs. We offer various export format options, such as KML, CSV, GPX, GPKG, and Shapefiles. If you need help deciding which format to choose, consider using KML, as it can be used in most applications and platforms. Next, Select the layers or features to export. The “All Features” option will allow you to export all the layers and their respective features from the map. If you select “Schema Only,” only the attribute fields of the layers will be exported, while the geographic features themselves will not be included. With a custom export, you can choose specific layers and features you want, allowing for a more tailored export process. You can choose the image size for export or even export the layer without images. Furthermore, you can select to include photo metadata, which provides information related to the location where the photo was taken, such as coordinates, date, time, and more. Confirm your export settings, including the file name and destination, and then tap the "Export Button”. The app will generate the export in your chosen format, and you'll have successfully exported the map layer from Avenza Maps. Congratulations! Thanks for watching!
