Join us on a flavorful journey across Kathmandu Valley as we set out to find the best biryani in town. From iconic dine-in spots to hidden cloud kitchens, this episode is packed with rich aromas, comforting spices, and some truly memorable plates. Our first stop was the famous Hyderabadi Matka Dum Biryani in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu — a branch of the well-loved Butwal outlet known for serving one of the best biryanis in Nepal. We tried both the mutton biryani and chicken biryani, paired with their signature sweet matka lassi for the perfect balance. Next, we ordered from Tasneem’s Kings Kitchen, a cloud kitchen near Labim Mall, Pulchowk that specializes in Indian cuisine. On the table were chicken biryani, mutton biryani, and shredded butter chicken masala — a comforting spread that truly surprised us with its flavors. Our final stop took us to Persia Biryani in Boudha, where we tried their buff biryani. But beyond the food, what stood out the most was their beautiful initiative. Through an organization called Feed for the Poor, run by Good Karma, they regularly serve meals to people in need — reminding us that great food can also create a meaningful impact. Watch till the end as we compare taste, portion, and overall experience to see which biryani earns the top spot in Kathmandu Valley.
