This run was beaten on March 19, 2020 by Krinoteder (2h 25m 57s    • Okami NG Any% 2:25:57(In-Game Time) [Forme...  ). Congrats! I've spent the past few days de-rusting in preparation for SGDQ submissions, with the goal of breaking WR so I could have an up-to-date video to submit. This run definitely beat my expectations in that regard. I created a 2m lead pretty early by correcting mistakes and having good fights early-game, and pretty much held onto it for the rest of the run by playing consistently well. I do still think this category has a fair way to go in terms of development. The past weekend has shown me that there are still new tricks and optimizations to be found, and this run still has several minutes of time-save left in it. Sum-of-best is 2:17:36 now, which makes me feel that a dedicated person really could break 2h 20m.
