Kozhikode: In her first visit to Kerala after the Supreme Court’s crucial verdict, Hadiya said she had faced several accusations from various corners but has obtained freedom now after the apex court restored her marriage with Shafin Jahan. Addressing the media here on Saturday, Hadiya and Shafin Jahan said they are particularly thankful to the Popular Front of India for supporting them in the legal battle. Hadiya said that it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution to accept a religion of one’s choice. She said when she wanted to covert to another religion, even the organisations in that religion did not support her.
