I stayed at the Sandown Premier Inn for a little seaside break and took a walk along the front to see how the town’s looking these days. In this video, I wander along Sandown seafront and chat about how the area feels — and why it could really do with some investment to keep the tourists coming back. There’s so much potential here, but a few parts are looking tired and in need of some money being spent to bring them back to life. I also talk about the Ocean Hotel, which sadly burnt down, and how much of a loss that is to the town’s skyline and history. Back at the hotel, I tuck into a cracking Indian takeaway — perfect end to a seaside day! Then the next morning, I head over to Katie’s Cottage for breakfast to round off the stay properly.
