Time attack of Altitude Limit Act 1 in Sonic Rush, with Sonic, in 1:55.10, ran on my new 3DS XL capture card. Good run overall. Pretty straightforward stage for Sonic. 0:07 - While holding right the entire time, you need to jump and land on the right tip of this rail to get a "trick" off of it and clear the big loop. Pretty consistent with Sonic as long as you're continually boosting and jump the moment you land. 0:20 - It's a bit faster to run up this wall then air dash into the spring, but I opt to jump then air dash into it, which is much more reliable. Many runs died to trying the faster method and I was not getting any runs past it. 0:37 - Want to land on the downhill slant of the rail to break speedcap while grinding. Then you want to do your 3rd finishing trick combo just as the rail ends, so you extend how long infinite boosts last. 0:45 - You barely have enough time to reach this rail and do an extra trick to refresh your infinite boost before you lose the red meter. It's actually not that important to make it to be honest, Sonic has enough boost to clear the rest of the stage (Blaze won't, and she can't refresh it in time since she's too slow) 0:48 - This downward jump is the hardest part of this stage. It seems to be a 1-2 frame window to get the perfect angle to jump down - any later and you land on the spikes and lose your downward speed. Any earlier and you hit the overhanging wall and lose your horizontal speed. 1:03 - Need to forward trick at the perfect height of the rail before the boost pad. This at least feels more lenient than Blaze.
