F-4D is the fourth Phantom release from Zoukei-Mura and the second one concerning USAF version of the #Phantom. The kit features several updates seen on the real airplane. Those are Loran-D antenna, pave knife pods and RHAV antenna. F-4D was capable of using AIM-4 Falcon missile too. The D-variant was meant to be used as Interceptor and featured new Inertial Navigation System plus an option to use laser guided weapons. That was the first aircraft that was capable of exercising that option. The sprue that is specific about this kit is featuring different cockpit parts, which is the most important difference alongside with the towel-hanger antenna on the back of the aircraft. Latter one was included on the sprues in the previous kits too. There are two paint options in this set, compared to only one per each of the previous Zoukei-Mura Phantoms. Both of the options here feature the standard Vietnamese three-tone camo scheme, with the sole difference of the belly colors. One is presented with light gray and the other - with black belly. Both are for F-4s who flew in the early 70s of the 20th century.
