LEEDS INTERNATIONAL CONCERT SEASON: LUNCHTIME ORGAN MUSIC 2025/26 Leeds Cathedral, Monday 9 March 2026 Benjamin Saunders It’s a particular privilege to have resident Leeds Cathedral Director of Music Benjamin Saunders playing in the series this year. Benjamin oversaw the design of the cathedral’s organ and knows it better than anyone. His recital features a major work by Georgi Mushel, the Soviet composer who became fascinated by the culture of his adopted central Asian home, and begins with Benjamin’s own arrangement of Benjamin Britten’s Playful Pizzicato.
