The trail starts from the Muntele Roșu Chalet and climbs through forests and meadows to Răscruce, continuing to the Ciucaș Chalet. From here, the path becomes more spectacular, with wide views of the mountains, until reaching Ciucaș Peak, one of the most beautiful peaks in the Curvature Carpathians. Cabana Muntele Roșu (1,280 m) -accessible by car from Cheia (DN1A). -the name comes from the carpet of rhododendrons that bloom spectacularly in June and color the meadows in red-cherry. -several marked trails to Cabana Ciucaș and Vârful Ciucaș start from here. Cabana Ciucaș (1,595 m) -a modernized cabin, with a restaurant and accommodation, located in a special mountain setting. -it can be used as a resting point before the final ascent to the summit. -easily accessible even in winter, it is a popular starting point for tourists.
