The SSHAP Fellowship is a flagship component of the Social Science in Humanitarian Action Platform (SSHAP), of which IDS is the lead partner. The Fellowship brings together mid-career social scientists and humanitarian and public health practitioners from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to take part in a process of mutual learning and exploration of the role and potential of social science in crisis response. In this short video, SSHAP Fellow Stephanie Bishop talks about her experiences as a SSHAP Fellow and how it has impacted her work. Our learning support is typically embedded in multi-year development programmes. It is designed and delivered by IDS or in collaboration with partner organisations to meet the specific needs of the programme.
