Your feedback is important! 🙏 📖 Background: These fluency drills are inspired by the audio-lingual method of teaching languages. It focuses on speaking and listening, especially repetition to help you remember and use sentences automatically. The audio-lingual method was popular in the 1950s and used to quickly teach large groups of US servicemen how to speak foreign languages as they were sent to countries around the world. 💭 My favorite memory of teaching fluency skills was when I was sent to Japan Steel in Tokyo to teach a group of 100 new employees. We did two full days of speaking drills in a hall with no chairs! It was a lot of fun! 📌 Tips: 🆗 Shadow my voice at all times. 🆗 Note down any useful words or phrases. 🆗Practice copying my intonation, stress and rhythm when you speak. ❤️ If you enjoyed this lesson, please subscribe! 🔔 🧑 My name's Nick Ramsay and I'm originally from the south-east of England.
