Your body is the most sophisticated protection system you have. It's detecting threats before your conscious mind catches up. It's holding memories your thinking brain can't access. It's giving you real-time information about safety, alignment, capacity, needs. Your body is trying to help you. The pain, the tension, the exhaustion - it's not random. It's communication. And when you stop fighting it and start listening to it? Everything changes. You stop abandoning yourself. You start honouring your needs. You rebuild trust with your body. Daily. Pause. Close your eyes if it feels safe. Ask: "Body - how are you feeling right now?" Scan from head to toe: Where is there tension? Where is there tightness? Where is there pain? Where is there ease? Just notice. No fixing. Just listening. Step 2: Get curious about what each sensation means When you notice tension - ask: "What are you trying to tell me?" Maybe: "Tight shoulders - I'm carrying too much. What can I put down?" "Stomach knot - Something doesn't feel right here. What is it?" "Exhaustion - I'm depleted. What do I actually need?" Let your body answer. The first thing that comes - that's your intuition. Step 3: Honour what your body tells you This is the hardest part. Your body says: "I need to rest." - You rest. Your body says: "This doesn't feel safe." - You leave. Your body says: "I need to cry." - You let yourself. Every time you honour your body's signal - you rebuild trust. Your body learns: "Oh. She's listening now. I can whisper again. I don't have to scream." Step 4: Thank your body for protecting you When you notice tension, pain, exhaustion - before trying to fix it, say: "Thank you, body. Thank you for trying to protect me. I'm listening now."
