Calais Dragon walk along the Promenade

I chanced upon this dragon ‘walking’ along the promenade in Calais on a beautiful sunny day on route to the ferry to return back to Blighty. Essentially, it’s a large dragon figure fixed upon a lorry mechanism with a viewing platform which you can buy tickets for. It’s controlled by two people working on the beast, one driving and the other doing some animatronics. And there is someone on the ground, with an industrial gaming controller, managing some other features. Admittedly, it can be painfully slow as it lumbers along. However, you have to be careful as the dragon roars rather loudly, breathes out fire from its mouth and shoots water from its nostrils and its tail. It is funny when it catches people out and they get a good soaking. The vehicle does produce a loud lorry sound but it is a great attraction. I’ve put on a backing track to hide the noise of wind. It was developed from GarageBand music loops Washed Away Piano 01 and 02, and Positive Thinking Piano.
