Leichte Wanderung auf den Pico de la Nieve, ein Gipfel auf der Caldera de Taburiente auf La Palma, Kanarische Inseln. Wir haben diese am 24.12. als unsere Weihnachtswanderung gemacht, mit passender Kopfbedeckung :) Start: kostenloser Parkplatz Fuente Olén an der LP-4 Strecke: 7,8 km hin und zurück Höhenmeter: ca. 400 Dauer: ca. 2,5 Std. ohne Pausen Weg: Bergwanderung, stetig, aber mäßig steil ansteigend, Trittsicherheit erforderlich, gut markiert Oben am Gipfel kann man bei gutem Wetter in die Caldera de Taburiente hineinschauen, nach Süden hin zur Cumbre Nueva und Cumbre Vieja, und im Südosten sieht man Teneriffa mit dem Teide. Je nach Wetter und Jahreszeit bilden sich jedoch ab Mittag oft Quellwolken in der Caldera, so wie auch bei unserer Wanderung. ___________________________ Easy hike to the Pico de la Nieve, a summit on the Caldera de Taburiente on La Palma, Canary Islands. We did this one on December 24th as our Christmas hike, with matching hats :) Start: free parking lot Fuente Olén at the LP-4 Distance: 7.8 km in and out Altitude meters: approx. 400 Duration: approx. 2.5 hours without breaks Path: Mountain hike, steady but moderately steep, requires surefootedness, well marked At the top of the summit and with good weather, you can look into the Caldera de Taburiente, to the south to the Cumbre Nueva and Cumbre Vieja, and in the southeast you can see Tenerife with the Teide. Depending on the weather and time of year, however, cumulus clouds often form in the caldera from midday, just like during our hike.
