Julia Quinn is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of nearly forty romance books, including the globally popular Bridgerton series, which was adapted into a hit Netflix show, with Season 4 set to release in 2026. She also co-wrote Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story with Shonda Rhimes, a companion novel to the 2023 Netflix prequel series, where she served as executive producer and made a cameo appearance. She is also the author of The Smythe-Smith Quartet, The Bevelstoke Series, The Two Dukes of Wyndham, and The Agents of the Crown. Ira Mukhoty is a bestselling writer of narrative history. She is the author of Akbar: The Great Mughal, Song of Draupadi: A Novel, Daughters of the Sun: Empresses, Queens and Begums of the Mughal Empire and Heroines: Powerful Indian Women in Myth and History. Her latest book, The Lion and the Lily, examines the rise and fall of Awadh in the context of the global Franco-British wars. Ira has participated in a BBC Uzbek service documentary, In the footsteps of Babur, which examined the role of prominent women in Babur’s extended family, a theme she had already elaborated in her most popular book, Daughters of the Sun. Ira also participated in India Marvels and Mysteries for HistoryTV18, discussing the role of women in building some of the iconic Mughal monuments. Rochana Jayasinghe is a literary scholar and theatre practitioner. She serves as Sri Lankan English Consultant to the Oxford English Dictionary, contributing to the 2025 update that introduced terms such as kottu roti, watalappam, baila, and kiribath. Her research explores literature’s engagement with history and culture, including Sri Lankan cricket writing as cultural storytelling. She has also performed widely in theatre, in Sri Lanka and the UK.
