The Detroit River…..April in the D. When people hear “ April in the D “ it’s usually directed at baseball which is not all that goes on here in April…. I personally think WALLEYE FISHING…If you haven’t experienced it YOU HAVE TO!! The Detroit River is a magical body of water that harbors many species of fish. It is also the largest body of water that the walleye use to spawn during the Spring here in Michigan. Walleye fishing is something I’ve done ever since I was a little kid and on many different bodies of water. Not only are they a fun fish to catch but they make a phenomenal table fare as well.
