Featuring and narrated by adventurer and explorer Aldo Kane, this award-winning short film highlights the lives of the incredible Bayei polers of the Okavango Delta. Deeply connected to this river system the BaYei are entirely dependent on the waters that surround their homes. It’s their intimate knowledge of life on the Delta that grants outsiders safe passage through this pristine wilderness. Joining a small poling team to traverse the entire Delta, 250km from pan handle to buffalo fence in traditional mokoro canoe, this film highlights the skills gathered from a lifetime coexisting and operating in this wild environment.
