Things To Know Before Going To Alishan - Taiwan's Most Scenic Attraction

Alishan is often referred to as Taiwan's most scenic attraction but it's not the easiest trip to plan for, for foreigners at least. That's due to the fact there's not a huge amount of info available online and therefore many people who make the trip tend to go on group tours or end up scrapping it from their itinerary altogether. It's definitely worth visiting though and so we hope this video will help with planning your own trip there. We visited Alishan from Chiayi, stopped off in Sizhuo (where Alishan's tea is harvested from) and stayed overnight in Alishan before returning to Chiayi the next morning. Although we visited in summer, the weather was great in the afternoon but much cooler by evening and early morning so remember to pack for cooler weather too even if you're visiting in summer.
