The desert zone in Sonic 2, for many years was nothing more than a legend that could be seen through a single image on magazine pages at the time, prior to the release of Sonic 2. In this video I bring some versions of what the famous desert area could be. In "Sonic The Lost Worlds" we can see this area with Oil Ocean's music and in a lighter color, as well as in some magazine pages erased by time, the level has considerable difficulty and has the Aquatic Ruin boss in act 2. In "Sonic 2 The Secret Zones" the zone is accessed by Oil Ocean and has the music of Aquatic Ruin, the background is very beautiful, with a sun and clouds in the background, a very well done layout and using elements from other zones such as Mystic Cave, the waterfall in Aquatic Ruin has become quicksand and the boss is the same as in Oil Ocean in act 2. In "Sonic 2 Delta" the zone has a sun in the background and looks similar to Secret Zones with the exception of the clouds in the background, the zone has a good difficulty, music by Oil Ocean and the Emerald Hill boss in act 2. In "Sonic 2 Long Version" the zone has big differences, the music is from Mystic Cave 2p Vs and the zone has become a large maze that needs to be explored, in addition alternating with the blue color of what would be the Winter zone, at the end we face the Emerald Hill boss surrounded by skeletons and with a slightly modified car. In "Sonic Delta Reloaded" the zone has very considerable differences in relation to Sonic 2 Delta, a completely new and more pleasant layout, the option to switch between the music of Oil Ocean and Yellow Desert from Sonic Blast in the best 16-bit style, at the end in act 2 we face a totally new boss and after that a transition scene with the music from Sunset Park Act 3 Sonic Triple Trouble where we get on a train and arrive at Oil Ocean. In "Sonic 2 Pink Edition" the area is very beautiful, with a more current style, new badniks, new platforms and even a sand jet that can throw you into the air, the music is by Oil Ocean and the background is very beautiful with the sand in the background, there is no boss in act 2. In Sonic 2 Archives a lot was inspired by Sonic 2 Pink Edition, the music from Oil Ocean is also used, the badnik dinosaur also appears in this version and the background is even better with a wave effect, in act 2 we face a totally new boss in the best style of Sonic 2.
