Howdy👋 If you are building applications on AWS Infrastructure then AWS Secrets Manager provides a centralized store to manage your application secrets. Secrets can be any information like passwords, credentials, connection strings, API keys, etc. In a previous video, we learned how to get started with AWS Secrets Manager from a .NET application. We saw how to integrate Secrets Manager into the default .NET Configuration and seamlessly use secrets from application code. In this video let’s take it further and learn how to integrate Secret Manager through the lifetime of an application. It’s typical that the applications we build are deployed to multiple environments like Test, UAT, Production, etc. If all your resources live in the same AWS account, then integrating it with Secrets Manager can be a bit tricky. Since Secrets Manager is global to the AWS account.
