VMMC @ 70 LEGACY : Healthcare Professionals' Scientific Research Contest

On Nov.19, 2025, Day 3 of VMMC's 70th Anniversary, the VMMC Medical Association presented L E G A C Y : Leading Excellence in GeriAtric Care and Advancing Research - the 2025 VMMC Healthcare Professionals’ Scientific Research Contest. The contest had two (2) categories: (A) Research Paper Presentation and (B) Poster Presentation. For the Oral Presentation of Scientific Research Paper, descriptive/analytical research (such as cross-sectional, case-control, and cohort studies) and experimental research (such as randomized controlled trials) were accepted. Case reports, case series, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and clinical practice guidelines were excluded. A total of 17 research papers were submitted from different departments – of which seven advanced to the finals: Dept of IM, FM, Urology Rehab Med, Anesthesiology, OB Gyne, ENT, IM Section of Gastro, IM Section of Pulmonary Medicine, Urology, and Nursing Division.
