Studying this topic is vital because the vessel tends to operate in confined environments where the safety of personnel and health is compromised. The primary goals of this literature review are: 1. Which shielding materials and structural designs provide the greatest reduction in radiation dose under the confined and highpressure conditions of nuclear submarines? 2. What are the most significant operational and physiological challenges faced by submarine crews in maintaining radiation safety, and how can personnel monitoring strategies be optimized to mitigate these risks? 3. Which emerging technologies including advanced dosimeters, AI-based monitoring systems, and shielding composites offer the greatest potential to enhance long-term radiation protection in nuclear submarines?
