In this video, I show how to install anvEmbed Card Reader onto an arcade game, set ticket settings, and connect it to your POS through Embed's Guru software. Remember your wire harness colors! Black: Ground Yellow/Black: Credit Ground Orange: 12V Orange/Black : Credit Signal -- Blue/Pink: Ticket White/Pink: Ticket *** some games require cutting off the connectors on the Embed wire harness to use these wire colors, and some are as simple as plugging in the square UCL connector to the game's matching connector, and plugging in the ticket harness. Also some games require plugging in the ticket harness, and don't have a UCL, and so require manually wiring the credit signal and ground with no other manual connection of wires. Look into the game to figure it out. It will be one of these three options. The cheaply made, made-in-china games, from non brand mame manufacturers all require manually connecting all the wires. They also require switching the ticket settings in the Embed reader for Drive Polarity and Notch Polarity. Most of the well made, name brand games work with the default settings. You need not worry about connecting ticket wires or setting ticket settings on games that don't need to put out tickets (Non-redemption games). Enjoy!
