Silver State Rails: The Nevada Northern Railway 2024

In August and September of 2024, I ended up going on a 5 day road trip to the small mining and railroad town of Ely, Nevada to visit one of America's most unique railroading experiences, the Nevada Northern Railway. In this video, we are going to take an in depth look at the daily operations of this historic railroad. You'll get to see yard and inside the 1907 locomotive shop complex, these are places that the public does not normally get to see at most tourist railroads. In addition to seeing the yard and shop complex, we'll also take a ride onboard the regular excursion train. you'll get to see both first generation diesel and steam locomotives in action. Enjoy!
