Update 3: I forgot to plugin exported IOR maps which are necessary for VRAY. Just plug them using the VrayHDRI node and UDIM tag. In this tutorial I am taking a look how to create UDIM based texture sets in Substance Painter and how to implement them to 3Ds Max 2020 VRAY render pipeline. There are several issues I have came across when using MultiTile node in Max slate editor, mostly it not being able to recognize .1001 style naming convention and also not working more than 9 texture tiles. I show workaround to this which is to name the files -1001 style rather than .1001 and also another workaround which is to use HDRI loader and UDIM tag (in brackets which I am not allowed to type here..). The latter is in my opion superior and it does not suffer from limitations in the file naming convention and is more robust.
